rite of passage May 3, 2010

Hi family!  Just had to share some pictures from our lacrosse picnic.  It was the last home game yesterday and senior day.  One event that takes place at the “senior banquet” (we had it in a picnic form this year) is the passing of the flag.  The current senior parent who waves the flag at the games,hands the flag down to a junior parent who will wave the flag next year.  The senior parents picked Kevin and thought it would be a lot of fun to have the flag delivered to the picnic via armored car.  Kevin was totally suprised and honored to be the new flag waver.  Here is the link to all the pictures from the picnic.  http://picasaweb.google.com/krd824/NewAlbum53101027AM?feat=directlink It was a fun day!  The girls won their last home game, the flag was delivered to the picnic, and we had a fun party later with a live band.  One last tournament this week and Maggie will be home!  Summer and the wedding are almost here.

Blizzard of ’66 February 11, 2010

I think this was the blizzard of 1966.  I remember thinking it was so much snow, and I remember the drifted pile of snow by the chimney of the next door (I can’t remember their last name at the time) house.  Ok, i’m bored.

Official dinner tonight! January 30, 2010

Hi all, Tonight we are having the official Grooms parents, brides parents, bride and groom dinner!  My plan is to enjoy the meal and not see who can eat less! haha.  Seriously, this should be a fun evening where we all get to know each other better.  Now I’d better go work out as Bissy is right, excercise makes all the difference.  Walking with a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar is not excercise:)  Glad Didi and Catherine are back!

Cousins January 4, 2010

Had fun seeing my cousin Cocquies and meeting her family.  Very cute daughters, and a really interesting husband.  He told us about being kidnapped in Mexico City! Paulina is going to L.A. this summer, she wants to be an actress. Cocquies was not that enthusiatic about it, but said she had to let her daughter follow her dream. Good luck and stay safe to Paulina.

Oh and you are supposed to be reading the signs in my pictures, trying to be funny. Don’t think anyone got the last one. Scotty?

Oh yea, our scale at home is about 5 pounds lighter than the one in Florida.  I think the Florida one is more accurate, but Kevin says this one is.  Oh well, I’ll try to go to 125 ish (which is really 130 ish) and keep it there.  That will be the hard part for me.
