Answer: Disney!!
Did you know at Epcot they serve Turkey Legs, queso fresco, $8 beers, pizza, corn dogs, schnitzel, japanese candy, etc..you get the idea.
After starting out strong right after the new year, almost all the weight was gained back on our trip to Sarah’s soccer tourney in Orlando. Sarah’s team got pushed around, and they offered Haagen Dazs in the hotel cafeteria. Salad’s were available, but they were Ceaser salads with enough dressing to grease the rails on Space Mountain.
Phrases such as: “Sarah needs her carbs for tomorrow’s game, lets get pizza!”, “But honey, the fish and chips in UK land smelled so good..”, “Bagels for breakfast!”, and everyone’s favorite “We’ll be able to walk this off tomorrow at EPCOT”. At least I have lost enough weight that my back didn’t hurt after being on my feet for 3 days at the tournament, and one day at Epcot hiking from Mexico to Canada.
Didi
Didi is right–we have done very well overall but it was difficult at Disney!! Hopefully now we are back on track. I have been exercising more–went on an hour and twenty minute walk yesterday and had a good run Thursday. David and I are going to head out for a walk in a bit. It snowed here but not more than an inch. I am impressed with everyone’s efforts!! What a great motivator. We finally did purchase a scale and posted our weights for the last two Fridays. Keep up the great work everyone!! Aunt Catherine
